(KSLA) â A Louisiana man is in a Texas jail after fleeing from authorities and reportedly tossing drugs and syringes as he did so.
The Panola County, Texas, Sheriffâs Office reports that it was notified at 10:45 a.m. Sunday that sheriffâs deputies from Caddo Parish, La., were chasing a vehicle into Panola County on State Line Road (Panola County Road 329). The vehicle then turned on U.S. Highway 79 and headed toward Carthage.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) One person was taken to a hospital in serious condition as a result of a fire that heavily damaged a Shreveport residence Sunday, April 11, authorities report.
The call to the 300 block of McCormick Street came in at 6:31 p.m., Caddo 911 dispatch records show.
Man found shot to death in Natchitoches

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KSLA) â A Natchitoches man died after having been shot multiple times the morning of Sunday, Aug. 11, authorities report.
Now Natchitoches police are investigating the death of 38-year-old Jerome Pier as a homicide.
Officers were responding to a call to the 600 block of Rowena Street about 7:03 a.m. when they found Pier. He was pronounced dead by a representative of the Natchitoches Parish coronerâs office.
Police have not yet released any information about a possible suspect or motive.

(KSLA) - Rain and storms will pick up ahead of slow moving cold front the next couple of days. We’ll be wettest later Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. A few strong storms are possible starting Tuesday afternoon, but the overall severe risk looks limited.
Clouds will roll back in tonight. A stray shower or strong storm may impact areas north of I-30, but most will stay dry. Temperatures will cool to the upper 50s and lower 60s.
