Schitt’s Creek and Sam Smith scooped up huge wins at the GLAAD Media Awards Thursday evening (8 April) because talent recognises talent.
For the 32nd annual GLAAD Awards, held virtually by the media watchdog, a slew of queer television shows, films and performers scored top honours.
Schitt’s Creek did what it does best – win awards – as it bagged Outstanding Comedy Series, while Smith was recognised in the Outstanding Music Artist Category.
Smith was handed the digital award by none other than Katy Perry. “Music has remained this constant force of unity throughout the world for people,” they said in their acceptance speech.
