The list of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic now includes the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet and Membership Meeting.The annual event includes the announcement of eight community awards. Chamber officials say in the organization’s newsletter despite the cancellation of the banquet and membership meeting, they would still like to honor those who are an inspiration to the community and a credit to their profession. Chamber members are invited to nominate candidates in the eight categories–Outstanding Business or Industry, Outstanding Organization, Educator of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Medical Professional of the Year, Spirit Award, Jim Gaston Friend of Tourism and Volunteer of the Year
