LOS ANGELES: The stars of “Friends” never really left us – they were simply on a break. The cast of the beloved 1990s sitcom about six attractive, straight, white New Yorkers with ludicrously giant Manhattan apartments finally reunite Thursday for a much-hyped and long-delayed special. Details are under wraps, but fans can expect a “table read” of a classic episode, a recreation of the famous “Friends” quiz at Monica and Rachel’s apartment – and lots of hugs, tears and reminiscing.

Friends reunion stars bring back memories of 90s

Like "Frasier" and "Seinfeld," "Friends" is one of "maybe four or five American sitcoms" from the "last real golden age of broadcast" with truly expansive appeal, in contrast to today's "fractured" TV marketplace"

Friends reunion premiere date and celebrity guests announced

Could we be anymore excited? The ‘Friends’ reunion finally has a release date and trailer, and there will be lots of pals joining in. The reunion episode will be out on May 27 and is set to feature celebrity guests including BTS, Justin Bieber, Malala Yousafzai, Lady Gaga, Mindy Kaling and many more, HB0 Max said on Thursday. ‘Friends: The Reunion’, directed by Ben Winston, will feature the six-member original cast Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry. The unscripted special has been in the works for more than a year, but filming was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the filming finally completed earlier this year on the same sound stage in Los Angeles as the original comedy about six young 20-somethings living in New York.

Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette Signed On For Night Court Sequel Series

The Night Court sequel series is a moving ahead, with Melissa Rauch and John Larroquette set to star in the prospective show. Deadline reports that the revival of the classic 1980s legal sitcom is set to bring back Larroquette in his role as Dan Fielding, with Rauch ( The Big Bang Theory) set to play optimist judge Abby Stone. Abby is the daughter of the late Harry Stone, played by the late Harry Anderson in the original series. The site notes that Rauch was originally set to only executive produce but decided to take the lead role when she read the script for the pilot. The series is not yet officially ordered but is said to be nearing a pilot order at NBC. It is written and executive produced by Dan Rubin, based on the original series created by Reinhold Weege.

WBA, Fox and Elizabeth Banks to Develop

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE Warner Bros. Pictures FOX Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation and multi-hyphenate Elizabeth Banks have joined forces to develop “Bedrock”, a primetime animated adult comedy series continuing the story of everyone’s favorite modern Stone Age family, the Flintstones. The pilot script will be written by Lindsay Kerns (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, DC Super Hero Girls, Trolls: The Beat Goes On!), with Banks voicing the character of Pebbles Flintstone, in addition to her role as a producer. “Bedrock” catches up with the Flintstone family two decades after the original, with Fred on the brink of retirement and 20-something Pebbles embarking on her own career. As the Stone Age gives way to a shiny and enlightened new Bronze Age, the residents of “Bedrock” will find this evolution harder than a swing from Bamm-Bamm’s club.
