On Thursday, some vehicles on the
Outer Ring Road (near Hennur underpass) got damaged. The owners alleged that the damage was caused when the
police intercepted vehicles that were speeding, causing vehicles behind them to crash into each other.
N Yadunandan, a lawyer, told BM, “I was travelling towards
Hebbal. The vehicles in front of me pushed sudden breaks. I had no option but to stop my vehicle too. A light commercial vehicle, behind my vehicle, could not stop as suddenly and ended up ramming into my vehicle. Luckily, there were no passengers sitting on the back seats.”

The frequency of the trains will be 5 minutes during peak
hours and 15 minutes during non-peak hours; token system to be back too, says
BMRCL
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has decided to operate Metro services throughout the day between 7am and 6pm, starting from July 1. No services will be available on Saturday and Sunday on account of the weekend curfew.
For
commuters who do not use the Metro services regularly, the BMRCL will be re-introducing
smart tokens in Metro stations for undertaking single journeys from July 1. The tokens are making a comeback after almost a year and will be welcomed by the commuters. Non-issuance of tokens had kept many commuters out of Metro so far. The BMRCL will continue to allow smart cards.
