FRISCO, TX Oklahoma lost to Dallas Baptist 9-3 on Sunday night at the Frisco College Baseball Classic at Dell Diamond.
The Sooners gave up eight runs in the first two innings and didn’t score until the seventh.
Jake Barnett (1-1) took the loss behind a four-inning start in which he allowed nine runs on seven hits and two walks.
Luke Taggard, Javier Ramos and Jason Ruffcorn pitched the last four innings and didn’t give up a run, but OU’s bats stayed quiet.

Brett Squires delivered three run-scoring hits and No. 25 Oklahoma scattered 10 hits in a 9-3 victory over Baylor on Sunday at Dell Diamond.
OU finished the Round Rock Classic with a 2-1 record after banging out seven RBI singles.
Tanner Tredaway, Tyler Hardman, Diego Muniz and Kendall Pettis each had two hits as the Sooners improved to 4-3 and Baylor dropped to 2-4.
Although they’re Big 12 Conference rivals, this one was a scheduled non-conference game.

ROUND ROCK, TX Oklahoma rallied for three runs in the final three innings to beat Auburn 4-3 on Friday in the Round Rock Classic at Dell Diamond.
The Sooners fell behind 3-0 in the third inning, but scored a run in the bottom of the fifth and then scored single runs in the eighth, ninth and 10th to win it.

Tanner Tredaway as the No. 25-ranked Sooners got the walk-off win in extra frames.

ARLINGTON, TX With his high school not 10 miles away, just an easy 15-minute drive down Collins Street,
Jimmy Crooks obviously feels right at home.
Crooks, a redshirt freshman from nearby Euless, homered at Globe Life Field for the second night in a row to lead No. 25 Oklahoma to a 7-1 victory Wednesday over Texas-Arlington.

Crooks mashed a three-run shot in Tuesday’s loss to Stephen F. Austin, and he hit a first-pitch shot to right field to lead off Wednesday’s eighth inning as the Sooners routed the Mavericks to improve to 2-2 on the season.

Conor McKenna picked a good time to blast his first home run in almost two years.
Oklahoma pitchers struck out 17 batters, and McKenna’s grand slam in the eighth inning powered the No. 22-ranked Sooners to their first win of the season Monday, an 8-5 victory over Nebraska-Omaha.
