Gas cap
Fort Bragg has implemented a 10-gallon cap on gasoline purchases on post, a spokesman confirmed Wednesday.
A Facebook post on behalf of leaders Wednesday morning announced the cap, which follows Colonial Pipeline Co.’s announcement Sunday that it temporarily shut down operations because of a ransomware attack on the East Coast pipeline computer system.
Colonial Pipeline Co. serves markets throughout the Southern and Eastern United States through more than 5,500-miles of pipeline. It also provides refined petroleum products to the military, according to its website.
Representatives from Colonial Pipeline, which provides around 45% of the East Coast s fuel, told USA TODAY they expect to restore services by the end of the week.
