Reports: Dan Campbell to Be the Next Detroit Lions Coach
It s a sad fact about the Detroit Lions, the coach who has the most wins in the history of the organization, Wayne Fontes, has a losing record. 66-67. He was the last ocach to win a playoff game AND win a division title.
The internet and sports heads are reporting the Lions will hire a former player, Dan Campbell to be the 30th head coach in team history.
He played for the Lions in 2008 when they went 0-16, so he knows how bad this team can be. The 44 year-old has never been a coordinator on the NFL level.

The Miami Dolphins search for a new offensive coordinator continues as the divisional round of the playoffs arrives, but the list of identified candidates continues to dwindle.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterbacks coach Matt Canada was one of those candidates, and he even reportedly interviewed for the position, but word came Saturday that he was instead going to be promoted to offensive coordinator by the Steelers.
We suggested a few days ago this was the most likely scenario for Canada, who is very highly regarded, because of the Steelers long-standing practice of promoting from within instead of hiring outside the organization.
New Orleans Saints tight ends coach and assistant head coach Dan Campbell is reportedly in the driver's seat when it comes to landing the Detroit Lions' head.
