PERRYVILLE â Joe Dixon is familiar with coyotes because he has seen them for years, on camera mostly, in his own neighborhood.
According to Harry Spiker, wildlife biologist with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, coyotes are all over the state.
âThey are present in all 23 counties,â Spiker said. âThey just do a really good job of hiding.â
Except in the area of Charter Hall near Perryville.
âWeâd seen them before but in the middle of the day was kind of odd,â Dixon said, adding, âIt was big.â
Coyotes tend to hunt at night, Spiker said, adding a lot of what attracts bears also will bring a coyote too close for comfort.

The Prince of Egypt is set to reopen at the
West End’s Dominion Theatre from 1 July to 4 September with social distancing in place. The musical plans to open at full capacity from 6 September 2021.
