Historic, yes. Symbolic, too. But what it says to the wider world about early 21st century Oklahoma may turn out to be most important. Unfortunately, Oklahoma’s reputation nationally takes a beating every time our uber-right, male-dominated Legislature pursues policies that disadvantage women, minorities and the poor.
