Governor Jon Husted provided the following updates Thursday on Ohio s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  OHIO VAX-A-MILLION: In Wednesday s statewide evening address, Governor DeWine detailed a series of statewide drawings to provide incentives for Ohioans to get a COVID-19 vaccination. Ohioans aged 18 and older will be entered into Ohio Vax-a-Million, a weekly drawing with a prize of up to $1 million.  The pool of names for the Ohio Vax-a-Million drawing will be derived from the Ohio Secretary of State s publicly available voter registration database. Additionally, a webpage will be available to register.  

Gov DeWine to Make Statewide Address Via Ohio Channel

This evening at 5:30 p.m. EDT, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine will deliver a statewide address to Ohioans, continuing his conversation on where we are in our fight against the Coronavirus and our progress towards reaching the end of the COVID pandemic. The address will be broadcasted live on The Ohio Channel, and can be watched via live stream here. The viewing page is expected to go live at 5:15 p.m. with the address beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Ohio State Senator Participates In Video Meeting While Driving

Views: House Bill 283, introduced Monday, calls for a ban on writing, sending or reading texts, viewing videos or taking photos, live streaming and using applications while driving. State Senator Andrew Brenner thought it d be a good idea to participate in the video meeting while on the highway, but chose a background for the Zoom call that looked kind of funny.Probably the seatbelt did, too. Andrew Brenner, R-Delaware, participated in a government video meeting while driving.
