Ohio's COVID-19 cases plateau, vaccine rollout plunges

COLUMBUS  Ohio s COVID-19 case plateau appeared to hold steady last week. For the second week in a row, the state reported decreasing COVID-19 case numbers. As a result, the state has moved closer to its reopening goal.  Gov. Mike DeWine promised the state can reopen when it reports 50 cases per 100,000 people over two weeks. Three weeks ago, the rate rose to 200 cases per 100,000 four times the state goal. Last week, it decreased to 155.6 cases per 100,000.  While total new cases were down last week, other lagging indicators were up in Ohio over the previous week: new deaths (167) new hospitalizations (848) and new ICU admissions (94)
