KENTUCKY (WFIE) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear held a virtual briefing at 3 p.m.
Governor Beshear is reporting 2,946 new coronavirus cases. The positivity rate sits at 8.53%
He says there are 15 new deaths.

On Tuesday, the Green River District Health Department reported five more COVID-19 related deaths and 228 additional cases.
Of those new cases, 131 are in Daviess County, 34 are in Henderson County, 21 are in Ohio County, 18 are in Union County, 10 are in Webster County, nine are in Hancock County, and there are five new cases in McLean County.

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - Sunday, Gov. Andy Beshear said Kentucky marked a major milestone in the battle against COVID-19 as the first vaccines against the deadly virus arrived in the commonwealth.
The initial shipment of the two-dose Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines has arrived in Kentucky, delivered to Louisvilleâs UPS Worldport.
âThe Pfizer vaccine, which we believe to be 95% effective, has now been authorized in this emergency for us to start vaccinating individuals,â said Gov. Beshear. âThe vaccine started to be shipped from the factory and a significant portion landed in Kentucky today. Kentucky is going to play a major role in getting this vaccine to people

KENTUCKY (WFIE) - Governor Beshear gave a COVID-19 briefing Monday.
Governor Beshear outlined new guidance for schools on Monday. It includes changes for what can be done when a county is in orange and red.
For red counties, starting in January, schools may now consider an aggressive hybrid model instead of remote learning only.
However, they recommend not starting in person learning until January 11.
There are certain requirements including a plan that will not impact a student’s ranking and protections for teachers in a higher risk category.
With the FDA’s approval of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine on Friday, Gov. Andy Beshear said that Kentucky’s first shipment is expected to arrive early next week.
