MANSFIELD - The per capita rate of new COVID-19 cases over the last 14 days in Richland County continues to decline.  In the last two weeks, Richland County has recorded 194 new cases, meaning there are about 160 cases per 100,000 residents. To compare, the COVID-19 incidence rate was 190 cases per 100,000 residents on March 4. The metric is shared each week as part of the state s COVID-19 heat map. The last time Richland County s incidence rate hovered around 150 cases per 100,000 residents was in late October, before a surge began locally and nationwide in November.  On Thursday, the overall incidence rate in Ohio declined to 155 cases per 100,000 residents, down from 179.
