Allina workers threaten strike after late-night bargaining session breaks down
The union s bargaining team says the sides remain deeply divided.

Essential workers with the SEIU Healthcare Minnesota union remain “deeply divided” with their employer, Allina Health, after contract negotiations went late into the night Monday.
According to a statement from SEIU, the 4,000 essential healthcare workers represented by the union have yet to reach an agreement with Allina. Negotiations lasted until 2 a.m. Tuesday. This was during the 11th bargaining session between the two parties.
The bargaining team has filed notice for a strike starting on May 10 if an agreement is not reached.

Thousands of Allina Health workers are preparing to strike over a contract they say is unfair and disrespectful.
SEIU Healthcare Minnesota, which is the union representing 4,000 frontline healthcare workers at eight Allina Health facilities in Minnesota, could go on a week-long strike on May 10 if they don t reach a deal on a new contract.

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Travel conditions have been deteriorating due to light snow across southern Minnesota this morning.
The State Patrol is already reporting the slick conditions may have contributed to at least one injury crash on I-35 in Steele County. 63-year-old Timothy Sletten was driving north on the freeway when his pickup slid into the ditch and rolled. The State Patrol says the crash occurred in Owatonna around 7:50 a.m. Sletten was transported to the Owatonna Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
