More than 70 years after Maharaja Ramanuj Pratap Singh Deo of Koriya drove the last of India’s Asiatic cheetahs into extinction, the animal is set to return to India. And the Kuno-Palpur wildlife sanctuary, which was upgraded to a national park in 2018, has been designated the new habitat of the fastest animal on land, which can sprint at speeds of 80-128 km per hour.
