A fire broke out in an illegal oil depot near Jhumra Road in the district on Thursday. Four teams of Rescue 1122 officials arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
According to the police report, a fire broke out in an illegal depot which is set up at Jhula Lal Oil Parking Stand near Chak No 202 RB Gayi on Jhumra Road, area of Millat Town Police Station. However, no casualties were reported and the cause of the fire has not been ascertained. The flames engulfed the oil drums in the warehouse.

A woman was allegedly shot dead at her parents’ home in Muzaffargarh on Saturday.
The victim’s husband and parents held each other responsible of the murder and her brother snatched the body from the police because he didn’t want an autopsy.
According to the police report, Masooma, 25, was present in a room of her parents’ house, located in the suburban Gujrat area when a gunshot was heard from the room. The family members peeped into the room through a window where they spotted the woman in a pool of blood.

A man killed his ex-wife to death who took divorce from him while two unidentified suspects tortured and stabbed two people to death in the district.
Police handed over the woman’s to her heirs and started searching for the heirs of two bodies.
Police said According to the police report, a man allegedly shot dead his ex-wife over the resentment of his divorce on Wednesday. 38-year-old Noorin Kausar, a resident of Millat Town, used to quarrel with her husband Sajid Khan on a daily basis on which she took divorce from the court.

A man stabbed his wife on Thursday after she refused to return to him.
According to the police report, the deceased Bushra Bibi was married to Javed, a resident of Mananwala, Punjab 20 years ago.
A few days ago, a quarrel broke out between the couple over their daughters marriage, as a result of which Bushra got angry and moved to her parents house in Ghowal.
The suspect, Javed, had gone to his in-laws’ house to bring back his wife, aged 40, who had been living with her parents after an altercation with him. When her husband came to take her, another quarrel broke out between the couple.
