116 Oregonians died as result of Pacific Northwest heatwave Brandon Sapienza The Oregon State Medical Examiner made the grim announcement on Wednesday that 116 people died in the state due to the heatwave that encompassed the Pacific Northwest last last month. The identities of the victims were not released, only the ages, gender, and county of residence were made public. Age ranges of the victims were between 37 and 97 years old.
