ENTERPRISE â A Wallowa County sheriffâs deputy was honored last month with an award for outstanding achievement, when Deputy Jennifer Harmon received the âGolden Feather of Achievement Awardâ from the Wallowa County commissioners.
âWeâve got kind of a special thing here and this is the first time that Iâve ever been involved in an outstanding employee recognition award,â Commissioner Todd Nash said. âItâs certainly well deserved.â
After listing her achievements, Nash turned it over to Commissioner Susan Roberts.
âThis is the first-ever Golden Feather of Achievement Award,â she said as she handed it to Harmon, accompanied by a room full of applause. âWe had our local glassblower make this and they will be rarely handed out.â
