(Manzanita, Oregon) – Another heatwave is coming to Oregon and southwest Washington, bringing temps up to around 100 on Thursday and Friday in the inland regions. However, the Washington and Oregon coastlines will remain below 70 degrees, making that the go-to place to get away. (Above: Pacific City)
Meanwhile, the extreme south coast will hover just above 70 degrees, living up to its “banana belt” nickname.

(Cannon Beach, Oregon) - A first of its kind on the north Oregon coast, a new festival in Cannon Beach combines the environment with the art world in this former artist colony. On September 16 through 19 the town celebrates that unique mix with the Earth & Ocean Arts Festival.
Here, one of the main events is a live art project that will create the world s largest sea star entirely made up of people. After all, Cannon Beach is a burgh where art and the natural surroundings come together in especially conspicuous ways.

(Astoria, Oregon) – For 16 months it was gone. That much-loved and famed Astoria Riverfront Trolley was closed due to the pandemic, no longer providing those leisurely and distinctive runs around the historic north Oregon coast town. The historic trolley makes its return on Friday, July 23, according to an announcement by the Travel Astoria-Warrenton group.
