January 29 2021 Pacific Foods donates 320 tons of products to Oregon Food Bank, Valentine s Day to honor senior citizens Pacific Foods donates 35 truckloads of soup to Oregon Food Bank In an effort to respond to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and an earlier response to help out those affected by the devastating Oregon wildfires, Tualatin-based Pacific Foods has donated 35 truckloads of soup and broth to the Oregon Food Bank. The donation of the 320 tons of products, which began last October, is equivalent to 533,300 meals, according to company officials. Pacific Foods, which specializes in organic, shelf-stable products, has had a 20 year relationship with Oregon Food Bank, donating more than 9.2 million pounds of food over that time.

To help fight hunger this holiday season, Wells Fargo is donating $50,000 to the Oregon Food Bank.  This money allows the food bank to secure and distribute enough food for 150,000 meals for families experiencing food insecurity in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Oregon State University estimates that nearly one in four Oregonians are food insecure.  “Our community is currently experiencing rates of hunger that haven’t been seen in a century,” shared Susannah Morgan, Oregon Food Bank CEO. “At Oregon Food Bank, we believe no one should have to choose between putting food on the table and paying for housing, for example.
