The Civil Resource Development and Documentation Centre, CIRDDOC, Wednesday, declared Jigawa State top among 36 States on Budget Transparency Index 2020 ranking.
This was made known by the Lead Researcher, CIRDDOC, Engr Ralph Ndigwe, why presenting ‘2020 Nigerian States Budget Transparency Survey’, which was funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, FCDO, formerly known as DFID/UkAid, and implemented by CIRDDOC.
Speaking on the Survey, Ndigwe said generally there was impressive performance by most of the states in their score along various perimeters
He said: “On public availability of key budget documents, an overwhelming majority of States improved their 2020 scores on the State Budget Document Availability Index.

The Civil Resource Development and Documentation Centre, CIRDDOC has released its findings on the survey of budget transparency and performance by states.
The Centre declared Jigawa State top among 36 States on Budget Transparency Index 2020 ranking with Ondo coming second.
The survey was funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, FCDO, formerly known as DFID/UkAid, and implemented by CIRDDOC.
Meanwhile, the Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Donald Ojogo in a statement in Akure quoted CIRDDOC’s Lead Researcher, Engr Ralph Ndigwe, as saying the ‘2020 Nigerian States Budget Transparency Survey’ showed impressive performance by most of the states in their score along various perimeters.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has mourned the demise of an Igala Icon and former Military Administrator of Ondo and Oyo States, Col. Ahmed Usman who died, on Tuesday, at the age of 70 in Jos, Plateau State.
The governor in his condolence message, on Wednesday, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu, noted that his death although very painful but it was comforting that the late Icon lived a fulfilled life.
Governor Bello described Col. Usman who hailed from Okura, Dekina Local Government of the state as a worthy ambassador of the Confluence State who excelled in his chosen profession and blossomed through the ranks.
