The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three notorious armed robbers alleged to be terrorizing travellers and motorists along Oolo expressway, Ikoyi-Ile, IgbereTV reports.
Spokesperson of the command, Adewale Osifeso, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, April 26, in Ibadan, said the suspects, Mohammed Ishaku, Abubakar Isah and Mohammed Bawa, were arrested by the tactical team attached to the Ikoyi-Ile Division while disposing motorists and passengers of their valuables.
The arrest was made on Saturday, April 24, at about 9am upon the receipt of credible and timely information and swift response of the tactical team. Items recovered from the suspects included three cutlass, eleven different handsets, cash sum of ten thousand, one hundred and forty naira only (N10,140), one touch light, ne Bintu Sudan perfume, two fire lighters, ten Computer wrist watch, eleven eyes glasses, twelve handset batteries, among others.

A family of 10 has been kidnapped at Agbo Hotel in Ajaawa community, Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Radio Nigeria gathered that the victims included the owner of the hotel, Hon. Olukunle Oyedokun, his younger wife, his baby, two daughters, granddaughter, sister-in-law with her son and a guest at the hotel
The abductors were said to have invaded the hotel behind CAC Primary School, Lagbedu Road at about 10pm on Saturday.
The perpetrators reportedly fired shots into the air sporadically, after which they seized the 10 victims and took them to an unknown destination through the bush.
Two of those in the hotel when the kidnappers struck fortunately escaped being abducted.

Ibadan, April 26, 2021 Oyo State Government says it has set up a Joint Security Post at Mamu village – a border community between Ibadan and Ijebu Ode in Ogun.
The security post is to complement efforts of the security operatives in nipping insecurity, especially issues of kidnapping, in the bud.
Gov Seyi Makinde, who stated this while on inspection tour to the border area on Monday, declared that the Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode road had been in the news recently for kidnapping of travelers plying the route.
He said the Mamu Joint Security Post was set up to secure the entry and exit points in the state, adding that it was a pilot project that would soon be replicated in all the borders with other states.
