Muscat: The General Federation of Oman Workers (GFoW) has registered three reports of workers rights from March 21 to April 1, 2021.
According to the federation, reports included a deduction of wages, forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, deduction of leaves during quarantine periods, and notifications of termination of service.
According to the data shared by the Federation, The total number of reports that the General Federation has monitored from 2020 to 2021 amounted to 466 reports, of which 427 were registered in 2020 and 39 reports were registered in 2021. The total number of settlement minutes and collective work agreements reached 483, including 366 in the year 2020 and 117 in the current year,” the statement added.

Muscat: Four reports of workers rights violations have been registered by the General Federation of Oman Workers (GFoW), during the period between 11 April and 15 April, 2021.
According to the federation, reports included violations like deduction of wages, forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, deduction of leaves during quarantine periods and notifications of termination of service. Six settlement records and collective work agreements through meetings of work teams in the governorates, which are tasked with following up and reviewing the decisions of the national workforce who terminated their services from work, during the period from April 11 to 15, April, 2021,” the statement added.
