On Feb. 16, New York State Police arrested Alexander Connell, 35, following a late-night traffic stop in Malta. Deputies responded to State Route 392 around 1:15 this morning for reports of a motor vehicle crash with injuries. They say a Ford pick-up driven by 37 year-old Dustin Vannederynen went off the road, struck a parked vehicle, garage and guide rail. Vannederynen was transported to Upstate Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Among a handful of charges he’s facing is Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.
