The DVSA effectively confirmed those with tests booked between these ten days would have their exam dates changed.
In a statement, it said the news was disappointing” but warned it was necessary learner drivers had time with an instructor.
A statement said: “We know this news will be disappointing. But it’s important that candidates have adequate time to practise with a professional instructor before they come to test.
“Restarting lessons ten days ahead of tests will give candidates a chance to do this.”

This will be followed by car and lorry driving lessons, motorcycle tests and theory tests from 12 April before car tests go ahead 10 days later.
However, it is expected many learner drivers will still miss out on their tests and be forced to reschedule.
One road user said they were worried their rescheduled test booked for April 14th would still be cancelled as this was scheduled days before test restrictions are set to be lifted.
Replying to the tweet, the DVSA almost confirmed this would be the case, adding they would “email candidates” with details on rescheduled tests.
