Last Thursday morning, Sedalia Police were notified of a sex crime between juveniles that occurred in the 2400 block of South Kentucky. The case was investigated, and no charges are being sought.   Google Earth Sunday morning, Officers responded in the area of North Osage and West Pettis for possible gun shots. Upon arrival, Officers were not able to find a victim at the scene and there were no witnesses willing to identify. The Bothwell Emergency Room reported a gunshot wound to a subject that was admitted there. Officers identified the victim, Marquoi D. Staten, who was medically stable, and he wished to pursue charges.

Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Ohio for a report of a suicidal subject. The suspect was ultimately transported to Bothwell for treatment. Charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Firearm Unlawful for Certain Persons, and Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree are being requested through the prosecutor s office. No further information was contained in the report.   Monday afternoon, Officers spoke to subjects at the Police Headquarters in reference to a gun they wished to turn over to the Police Department. The gun was placed into evidence for safe keeping.

Sedalia Police Reports For February 8th, 2021 This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. Early Monday morning, Officers responded to the End Zone Sports Bar and Grill, 3120 West Broadway for a disturbance. Eddie R. Bailey, 48, of Sedalia, was taken into protective custody and transferred to the Pettis County Detention Facility for a protective custody hold.   Sunday night, Officers conducted a vehicle stop in the 3200 block of South Limit Avenue. John J. Kemmerer, 51, of La Monte, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Kemmerer was transported to the Pettis County Detention Facility, where he was booked and released.   Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop at West 13th Street and South Warren for several moving violations Sunday night. After an investigation, it was found the driver was in possession of marijuana. Daniel Scott Robledo, 43, of Sedalia, was issued a court summons for Possession of Marijuana and given a court date.

Sedalia Police Reports For December 31, 2020 This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports. Wednesday night, Officers performed a traffic stop on a white Jeep SUV, as the plates on the vehicle were expired in May of 2020.  Officers also recognized the driver to have a suspended license. The traffic stop took place in the area of South State Fair Boulevard and West 5th Street. Officers spoke to the driver and a single occupant, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch, confirming the drivers suspended status. Escobar Cruz, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he was processed and released pending a court date.

DUI On Dec. 22, at 12:24 a.m., Troopers arrested Tony Gomes, age 45, of 113 Clark Street, Apt. 2, New Bedford MA for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs- 1st Offense – BAC Unknown. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of East Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult. Possession On Dec. 22, at 12:24 a.m., Troopers arrested Evans E. Stroman, age 37, of 41 Mitchell Street, Apt. 3, New Bedford MA for Possession of Controlled Substance- Schedule I-V (MDMA). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of East Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released.
