Suspect in Pittsfield Vehicle Theft Apprehended
The suspect in a 2019 Town of Pittsfield vehicle theft is now facing charges. According to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office an investigation determined Billy Bates of New Paltz stole the vehicle from a Pittsfield business then fled to Pennsylvania. The town of Pittsfield court issued an arrest warrant and Bates was picked up on Jan. 9. He is charged with 3rd Degree Grand Larceny and after being arraigned was released on his own recognizance.

Westford Police Chase Results in Arrest and Multiple Charges
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Dennis Armlin, 50, of Westford following a pursuit in the Town of Westford. A deputy attempted to stop the defendant for vehicle and traffic law violations at which time Armlin failed to stop and led police on a pursuit through the Town of Westford. The pursued driver finally stopped after several miles and was found to be operating his motor vehicle in an intoxicated state. Also, Armlin was driving with a revoked NYS driver’s license and driving a motor vehicle without a court ordered interlock device. The defendant was taken into custody and later released on an appearance ticket. He is set to appear in the Town of Westford court at a later date.
Oneonta Man Busted For Stealing Credit Card
A Town of Oneonta man has been arrested for stealing a credit card. The Otsego County Sheriff s Office reports that 21-year-old Scott M. Sieger was charged on Jan. 9 with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property – 2 counts Petit Larceny following an investigation into a missing credit card. Sieger was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Oneonta Court for arraignment at a later date.

Two of the vehicle’s occupants suffered serious injuries and were transported to Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw for treatment. The other five occupants were treated locally for minor injuries, police said.
Man arrested for ‘terroristic threats’ made against Michigan department, police say

MONROE COUNTY, MI – A 37-year-old Gaylord man faces charges after police say he made threats on social media toward a southeast Michigan police department.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement Sunday, Jan. 3 noting Sheriff Troy Goodnough has reported an incident of “terroristic threats” aimed at the law enforcement agency.
“On Saturday, January 02, 2021 the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a social media post which threatened violence toward the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office,” per the sheriff’s office statement. “The suspect threatened to blow up the building if the Sheriff’s Office did not send someone to arrest him by January 13, 2021.”
