For too long, the options in the non-alcoholic section of restaurant menus or liquor stores were cloying mocktails and syrupy fruit sodas, or maybe a dusty bottle of barely-hoppy 0% ABV beer. Not the case these days. As sobriety, dry months, or even just saying I m not drinking tonight become more socially acceptable than ever before, the beverages had to catch up.

Zoo Boise Discounting Admission to $2 Tuesdays in February
While some of the City of Boise s most fun facilities are listed as closed through at least September 2021, Zoo Boise s been safely operating for months!
The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for Zoo Boise. Last year, they were forced to cancel some of their signature events like their Mother s Day Brunch and Snooze at the Zoo. Other events like Run Wild and Zoobilee they were able to make virtual. I was lucky enough to be part of the packet pick-up for Run Wild and the zoo staff really went the extra mile to make it special for the kids. They called in the Treasure Valley Avengers to bring some of their super hero characters our and the 501st and Rebel Legions to surprise kids with Star Wars characters. They were also able to break up the popular Boo at the Zoo event into several Zoo at Night events in October.
The Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF), held under the patronage of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, presented by Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, has received tremendous response from horse owners and breeders.
More than 300 purebred Arabians have registered for the Title Show, the highpoint of the Festival.
Of these, more than 200 horses have met the stipulated requirements and will hence participate in the prestigious Show. These figures will rise further, as registrations will be made open for horses qualifying in the upcoming 23rd Qatar National Arabian Horse Show, from 22 – 26 January.
The overwhelming participation necessitates that the Tile Show dates are amended to ensure optimum conditions of competition. The Show will now be a 4-day event, instead of three as previously announced. While the Festival dates remain unchanged from 2 – 6 February, the Title Show is scheduled from 3 – 6 February.
