A still of Soohyun and Kang Tae-oh in Run On Episode 11 (JTBC)
Let s forget the mellow couple of Run On Mi-joo (Shin Se-kyung) and Seon-gyeom (Im Siwan) for now because the highlight of episode 11 is the growth in Dan-ah (Soohyun) and Yeong-hwa s (Kang Tae-oh) relationship. The rich CEO hired a young college student to paint pictures for her after being mesmerized by his paintings. She was lost in reverie every time she saw one of his paintings and so she wanted to have it all for herself. However, Yeong-hwa was different from all the people that Dan-ah had ever met and it was not just the paintings that fascinated her anymore. He did too.
The four main leads Im Siwan, Shin Se Kyung, Sooyoung, and Kang Tae Oh, as well as the writers and director of the drama are doing an amazing job in maintaining the quality of the show. The characters and multiple of the drama s scenes have served as the people s voice through the accurate lines and on-point remarks about certain crucial issues. Run On is a drama that deals with various important topics that show different perspectives and interests while also being considerate to the viewers and the characters at the same time.
The scene where track and field athlete Ki Seon Gyeom (Im Siwan) and film translator Oh Mi Joo (Shin Se Kyung) talked about the issues within the sports and film industries gained attention from viewers, especially from those working in the mentioned fields. The episode depicted the problems that need to be resolved with helping hands from the people involved.
