Right before Tom Schierl moved to Jacksonville in 1968 to help oversee the construction of a new factory building, Carnation Co. officials told him, “you become Mr. Coffeemate.”
After a 43-year career spent primarily in the production of the famed non-dairy creamer, Schierl certainly lived up to the name.
WWE s Otis Turns Heel and Knocks Out Rey Mysterio on SmackDown
✖
Tonight s SmackDown featured a big heel turn earlier in the night as Apollo Crews unleashed a vicious attack on Big E, but that wasn t the only turn of the night. The next one would be even more surprising too, as during the match between Otis and Chad Gable vs Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio, Otis and Gable were able to win the match handily. That s when all chaos broke loose though, as a defenseless Rey ended up on the receiving end of an Otis splash from the top turnbuckle that knocked him out completely.
OTIS â Now, theyâre ready for a real crowd.
After having a Select Board session max out on Zoom capacity in late January, spurring an Open Meeting Law complaint, officials in Otis upgraded their account.
When another large group of Otis residents joined a virtual board meeting Tuesday â most of them were opposed to a cell tower under consideration â they didnât face the same barrier. But, many left frustrated anyway, because the issue of a proposed tower on town property at Big Pond was not on the agenda.
âThey didnât allow anyone to talk,â said Frank Rizzo, a resident who listened to the proceeding.
