Student at O.J. DeJonge Middle School Tests Positive for COVID-19 An update to the original communication with close contact quarantine information is now posted. You can view this update by clicking on the link below. Update: Contact tracing protocols have now been completed. Twenty-four (24) students, four (4) teachers, and one (1) paraprofessional have been quarantined as close contacts to this positive COVID-19 case. All parents have been notified today if their children were impacted. Dear Parents, Guardians, and Families: The District was notified by the public health department today, Saturday, January 30, 2021, that a student at O.J. DeJonge Middle School tested positive for COVID-19. The student was asymptomatic and last in school on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Symptoms began the evening of Thursday, January 28, 2021. Contact tracing will be conducted in consultation with the District Health Department #10 for close contacts of this student on Tuesday, January 26

COVID-19 Communication - Jan 6, 2021

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Families: In an effort to continue our communication with families on COVID-19 related matters, this letter is to inform parents of the staff members that have been placed on quarantine as a result of being a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case. In all instances, the positive COVID-19 cases are outside of the school and not associated with a school transmission of the virus. Six (6) staff members are currently quarantined as close contacts to positive COVID-19 cases. These staff members include: One (1) transportation employee, one (1) staff member at Pere Marquette Early Childhood Center, one (1) teacher at Ludington High School, one (1) teacher at Franklin Elementary School, one (1) Central Business Office employee, and one (1) professional staff member shared across multiple elementary school buildings.

Positive COVID-19 Student Case at Middle School

Please click here for an updated COVID-19 Communication. Update: As of 6:00 pm on Friday, December 18, 2020, all close contacts to this positive case have been notified of their required quarantine. If you did not receive a phone call from the District, your child is not required to quarantine as a close contact. Eleven (11) students and one (1) staff member have been quarantined. Dear Parents,Guardians, and Families: This afternoon, the District was notified by District Health Department #10 that a student at O.J. DeJonge Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19. The student was tested on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 and was present in school on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The District is working with the health department on this matter and contact tracing has begun. This will require the quarantine of all close contact students and staff members of this student on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
