With two months to go before a statewide eviction moratorium expired in January, lawmakers, lobbyists and the governor’s staff were already deep into negotiations on an extension. They reached it just days before the deadline, providing six more months of a ban on eviction.

Now, with two months left before that
extension itself expires on June 30, there is no proposed legislation to give renters more time before the moratorium ends, and lawmakers expressed uncertainty that there will be.
Note:
The City of L.A. s emergency rent relief program is due to expire April 30.
“It remains to be seen if there’s appetite in Sacramento to extend the protections past June 30,” said David Chiu, the San Francisco Democratic Assemblyman who wrote the original eviction moratorium legislation. “But I don’t think any of my colleagues have an interest in seeing a wave of mass evictions.”

Something about getting out on a lake is a great way to de-stress, enjoy life, and have a little excitement whenever you get a bite.
The Evansville are has a ton of great areas for you to fish. From rivers and streams, to lakes and ponds, I have compiled a list of public fishing areas in Evansville area, including some places in Kentucky, for you to use to your benefit. Some areas are good for bank fishing, others, you may want to use a boat/kayak to find the perfect spot. Either way, this list should help you if you are looking into new places to try out your luck.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Small businesses can sign up for grant funding as part of Phase 3 of Indiana’s COVID-19 response program.
15 communities across southwestern Indiana received up to $250,000 to split between qualifying businesses impacted by the pandemic.
The first step toward saving a small business is to apply.
The deadline to apply is 3 p.m. CST on May 5.
Eligible counties and areas include Boonville, Chandler, Elberfeld, Fort Branch, Gibson County, Haubstadt, Lynnville, Mount Vernon, New Harmony, Newburgh, Oakland City, Posey County, Princeton, Vanderburgh County and Warrick County.
