A man was shot and killed in downtown Oakland Monday afternoon, according to police.
Police said the shooting happened at 2:12 p.m. along the 400 block of 8th Street, only a couple blocks from the Oakland Police Department. Download our mobile app for iOS or Android to get the latest breaking news and local stories.
Officers reported hearing at least 20 gunshots, OPD spokesperson Johnna Watson said.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting is asked to call 510-238-3821.
