AG says new law could curb black market marijuana sales Connor Hansen
In Guthrie, dump trucks full of marijuana plants were seized Friday morning.
The operation has a license to grow medical marijuana, but after months of investigating, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics says the product was being sold on the black market.
“Our information shows they’re a criminal organization that is moving large quantities of marijuana on the black market under the guise of Oklahoma’s medical marijuana program, said Mark Woodward, a spokesperson for the OBN.
The OBN says it took 11 people into custody who they believe were from Taiwan and China and did not speak English.
The day focuses on getting potentially harmful drugs out of your home.

Mark Woodward, spokesman Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics says, “Well, unfortunately, we have seen some tragic outcomes of people overdosing and dying from medication like opioids and when you do an investigation you find that they stole them out of the medicine cabinet of a purse and oftentimes the relative will say I forgot I even had those.”
Woodward knows it is something many of us don t think about.

Saturday is national prescription drug take back day.
The day focuses on getting potentially harmful drugs out of your home to help prevent accidental poisoning, overdose and drug abuse.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in a search warrant search in Logan County.
The Logan County Sheriff s Office confirmed a warrant was served at one of two locations in Guthrie.
A house is being searched by law enforcement just north of County Road 73 on Midwest Boulevard and a farm located near East Triplett Road and South Midwest Boulevard.
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics said a medical marijuana grow house is being investigated for alleged illegal sales.
