INMATE WALKS AWAY FROM OKLAHOMA PRISON: Inmate taken back into custody after walking away from eastern Oklahoma correctional center

Updated: 5:15 PM CDT Jul 24, 2021 KOCO Staff An inmate was taken back into custody after authorities said he walked away from an Oklahoma Department of Corrections facility Saturday in Taft.DOC officials said Robert Youngblood, 41, walked away from the Jess Dunn Correctional Center around 7 a.m. Saturday. Correctional center staff saw Youngblood leave the facility on foot and engaged in a pursuit.Officers took Youngblood into custody before noon Saturday thanks to cooperation from Lighthouse police officers, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers, Muskogee County Sheriff s Office deputies and DOC staff.Youngblood is serving a three-year sentence for escape from a penal institution out of Logan County.
