C.T. Vivian s birthday celebrated

MACOMB About 75-80 people gathered Friday at the Vivian family property at 700 East Adams Street to celebrate what would have been the 97th birthday of the Reverend C.T. Vivian.
The occasion was hosted by the McDonough County NAACP and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, both of whom are leading an effort to raise funds to build a C.T. Vivian Memorial Museum on the site.
The evening s ceremony was held under under a tent. Participants arrived and began mingling for about half an hour before the ceremony began at approximately 5:15 p.m.
