The trade body is offering 100 free two-year memberships to people as part of a not-for-profit campaign called ‘We Are Change’ by the Verve Group. This is for the benefit of those who have lost their job due to Covid-19, with We Are Change giving them free training and support in their bid for qualifications. Candidates selected by We Are Change receive practical skills e-learning and are supported to achieve their Chartered Insurance Institute Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning within two years.

The memberships will be offered via ‘We Are Change’, a not-for-profit training initiative run by the Verve Group, which assists those who have lost their jobs due to covid-19 to receive the free training and qualifications they need to start a career in financial services. Candidates selected by the campaign will receive e-learning to achieve their Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning within two years.

Brooks Macdonald sees financial planning revenue fall Brooks Macdonald reported a slight fall from £2m to £1.9m in revenue for its financial planning arm, in the six months to 31 December 2020. Speaking to  Money Marketing this morning , chief executive Caroline Connellan said this was down to its plans last year to “better organise” in a way to deliver for private clients. In the half year results, it also reported that funds under management hit record levels at £15.5bn.
