Photos show a ship off the coast of Cornwall, England, appearing to float high above the water. Experts say it's due to a weather phenomenon called "superior mirage," in which warm air on top of colder air bends light as it reaches a viewer's eyes.

David Morris captured the mind-blowing sight in Cornwall. He had been looking out to sea from Gillan on the Helford near Helston when he snapped the incredible vision. David said the optical illusion left him “amazed and very baffled”.
