Lean Cuisine has recalled thousands of frozen chicken dinners after consumers complained about finding plastic pieces in their products.
On Saturday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued a recall for approximately 92,206 pounds of Lean Cuisine baked chicken meals after their parent company, Nestlé Prepared Foods, found evidence that some products may be contaminated with extraneous materials, including pieces of white hard plastic.
The company believes that the pieces of plastic broke off of a conveyor belt and got into the mashed potatoes included with the meals, per the USDA. The issue was previously discovered on Friday after complaints were filed.

Nestle is recalling certain Lean Cuisine baked chicken meals.
The Agriculture Department’s food and safety inspection says bits of broken conveyer belt could be in the potatoes.
The meals being recalled were produced and packaged on Sept. 2, 2020 and they have an expiration date of Oct. 2021.

(CNN) If you re thinking about having a Lean Cuisine meal for dinner tonight, you might want to rethink your dinner plans.
After several consumer complaints, Nestlé Prepared Foods is recalling more than 92,000 pounds of its Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken frozen meals.
The meals contain white meat chicken with stuffing, red-skinned potatoes and gravy.

The Lean Cuisine meals in question were distributed nationwide but only affect one variety of meal. The baked chicken meal that comes with white meat chicken with stuffing, red skinned mashed potatoes, and gravy, are the meals in question.
An issue with the meals was discovered on December 18 after five different customer complaints said they found hard, white plastic in the food. Following that discovery, Nestlé announced a recall of about 92,206 pounds of product.
Although no illness or injury related to the Lean Cuisines has been reported, the worry is that you might still have the contaminated food in your freezer.
