S&P affirms Bulgaria at BBB/A-2 with stable outlook gary yim/Shutterstock.com SOFIA (Bulgaria), June 1 (SeeNews) - Standard & Poor s (S&P) said it has affirmed its long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings on Bulgaria at BBB/A-2 with a stable outlook. After a comparatively shallow contraction last year, S&P Global Ratings expects muted external demand will delay some of the economic recovery into 2022, the ratings agency said in a statement on Monday. According to S&P, EU fund inflows, including from the Next Generation EU (NGEU) instrument, will support growth in the medium term. Bulgaria is eligible for total grants of over 50% of GDP until 2027.
