Apr 28, 2021 A Bayard Road, West Township, woman reported at 11:35 p.m. Monday her ex-boyfriend has been sending her unwanted messages to her cell phone. A woman traveling on state Route 45 near Township Line Road reported at 7:43 a.m. Friday she found a 3-year-old girl walking on the state route wearing only a T-shirt and underwear in about 35-degree weather. The child was unable to tell her what her name was or where she lived, so the woman called deputies and kept the child in her vehicle until deputies arrived. A bus driver for Wellsville schools gave the woman a blanket for the child and also waited for deputies to arrive. When deputies got there a dispatcher told them a Hillcrest Road woman had called to report her 3-year-old daughter was missing. The mother came to where the child was at and explained she had taken her middle child to the bus stop and her 13-year-old son was watching the 3-year-old when she walked away. County Sheriff A deputy assisted the highway patrol with a traffic crash in the 3800 block of Homeworth Road in Knox Township at 2:12 a.m. Saturday. A Center Road, Knox Township, man asked deputies information on handling a civil matter at 2:05 p.m. Saturday. Deputies referred him to the courts for further action. A child carrying a pipe wrench was reported trespassing on Clarks Mill Road, Washington Township, property at 4:06 p.m. Sunday. Deputies found the child and his father, warning him to stay off of other people’s property unless he has permission to be there. Deputies checked an address on state Route 170, Unity Township, for a person with a warrant at 7 p.m. Sunday, but he was not located.

Unity officials urge township residents to take advantage of spring cleanup

Unity residents can do their part and participate in their township’s Neighborhood Spring Cleanup, set for April 24. They’ll be able to drop off unwanted non-hazardous household items in large trash bins from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the township office building, at 154 Beatty County Road, as well as in several communities in the township.
