Pennsylvania State Police said a sign posted in the window of a Unity Township home played a key role in helping an assault victim get to safety.
According to police, someone called 911 late Saturday morning after spotting a sign in the window of a home that read Call 911.
When troopers responded, officials said they were greeted at the door by 44-year-old James Vickers.
Court documents said troopers spotted a knife on Vickers and detained him after a brief struggle. Inside, police said, a woman was found to have multiple injuries to her face and she accused Vickers of trying to strangle her.
