Glenn County to host a bottled water distribution

GLENN COUNTY, Calif. - A series of bottled water distributions events will be hosted for people who have dry wells as a result of the drought in Glenn County, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The bottled water was donated by Amazon with the assistance of Assemblyman James Gallagher as it will be coordinated by the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office, deputies said.
The first event will be on Wednesday as the second will be on July 21. Both events will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Orland Fire Department.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif.- Firefighters have their hands full battling the Lava Fire in Siskiyou County.
Action News Now spoke to one Paradise Police officer who’s there right now on the front lines.
Sergeant Robert Pickering and Officer Tyler Mayhugh have been at the Lava Fire this week.
“We were grateful when everyone was helping out that we tried to help other people when we were in need,” said Sergeant Pickering.
Vehicle rollover shuts southbound I-5 near Highway 32
California Highway Patrol and the Orland Fire Department are assisting with a vehicle that overturned on Interstate 5, just north of Highway 32, according to CHP.

ORLAND, Calif. - California Highway Patrol and the Orland Fire Department are helping with a vehicle that overturned on Interstate 5, just north of Highway 32, according to CHP.
Southbound I-5 has been shut down since 12:45 p.m. and remains so as of 1:25 p.m.
There are reports of injuries, but the extent is unknown, CHP said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
