The Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly adopted a resolution to oppose the Centre s decision on 100% strategic disinvestment of Government of India s shareholding in Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, Vishakapatnam. The Centre had proposed divestment of RINL along with the management control through privatisation.
The House, which earlier in the day presented the Annual Budget for 2021-2022, and passed the Appropriation Bills and some other Bills, resolved to request the Government of India to consider the measures suggested by State Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in his letters addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi dated February 6, 2021 and March 9, 2021, wherein the Chief Minister suggested options to make RINL profitable and remain the pride of Telugu people and Andhra Pradesh.
The Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh was adjourned sine die, after the passage of the Andhra Pradesh Appropriation Vote on Account Bill, 2021, Andhra Pradesh Appropriation Bill No.2, 2021 and Andhra Pradesh Appropriation Bill No 3, 2021, .

TruJet gets AP govt nod for viability funding

Regional carrier to continue Chennai-Kadapa-Vijayawada and Vijayawada-Kadapa-Chennai routes for one more year
Regional carrier TruJet has secured Andhra Pradesh Government nod for viability gap funding (VGF) to continue its Chennai- Kadapa-Vijayawada and Vijayawada-Kadapa-Chennai routes for one more year starting from May 1, 2021.
The State Cabinet approved a move to provide about ₹20 crore per year as VGF by the State government.
An MoU was signed between Government of Andhra Pradesh, Airports Authority of India and the Ministry of Civil Aviation in 2016 for implementation of Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). Following this, Trujet Airlines is operating at Kadapa Airport.
