Michigan GOP leader shares misinformation on masks that suggests suing employers Dave Boucher, Detroit Free Press A leader of the Michigan Republican Party shared an inaccurate message on social media early Tuesday that suggested masks do not keep people safe and employees should sue their bosses at workplaces where masks are required.  On Tuesday morning, Maddock shared a tweet that stated, Masks are Ineffective, Harmful (physically n mentally) and Never Intended for General Population Use.   A litany of health and science literature indicates masks help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and many other diseases.
