She was once at risk of becoming just another B-list ex-WAG and reality TV wannabe, but Lara Worthington, nee Bingle, has undergone a complete image overhaul and, like a phoenix, risen from the ashes.
This is not merely a simple glow-up. Nor is it like one of those cheap transformations on Better Homes & Gardens where a living room is updated using half a tin of old paint, re-purposed crap from a kerbside council collection and unlimited PVA glue.
Sir Ron Brierley: Three guilty pleas and a fall from Olympus

He was always a private man , says Georgina Beyer, who once slept in Sir Ron Brierley s bed. Oh not when he was in it, of course, she laughs. Rather, it was a coincidence of a broken marriage and her step-father Colin Beyer flatting with Brierley in early 1970s Wellington.
It illustrates the close proximity Beyer enjoyed to watch the creation of a new royalty. Brierley, her step-father Colin and uncle Trevor Beyer, along with others in their circle, redefined wealth in New Zealand.
Those who founded Brierley Investments Limited have been called titans of business but in Greek mythology, the titans were the old gods who were overthrown. Rather, these men were the new gods who savaged New Zealand s traditional definition of wealth.

Amid the ongoing civil war in Yemen, 13 Jews have immigrated to Egypt, leaving the country’s once vibrant community of at least 50,000 with a population of fewer than 10.
Some reports claimed that the Iran-backed Houthi rebels, who control part of Yemen, forced the Jews to leave. The Times of Israel reported that the refugees instead struck a deal with the Houthis to leave peacefully Cairo.
They also reportedly refused an offer to go to Israel.
Other Yemeni Jewish families have left for the United Arab Emirates in recent months, according to The Times of Israel. The UAE is newly on formal diplomatic terms with Israel after signing onto the Abraham Accords peace deal last year.
By Bowdeya Tweh and Katherine Riley Once upon a time, Amazon.com Inc. only sold books, Apple Inc. sold computers, and Google was just a search engine. Those days are long gone, and each of those companies as well as Microsoft Corp. and Facebook Inc. has become a tech behemoth. Big Tech s critics say the industry s giants wield too much power over the lives of internet users. The companies often argue in response that they face enormous competition, often from each other, and need to continue innovating to remain relevant. The reality, as these charts show, is an interplay of collaboration and competition that helps to shape the extent and nature of Big Tech s clout. And that interplay is evolving, as the companies increasingly encroach on one another s turf to build and protect their dynasties.

Gwyneth Paltrow has claimed that Dr Will Cole s intuitive fasting system cured her of long Covid. Then again, Paltrow once thought it was a good idea to sell vagina-scented candles. So is this just another fad diet – or might it be beneficial?
It s 8.15am in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Dr Will Cole, wellness practitioner to Gwyneth Paltrow, is talking to me from his clinic for natural medicine. Cole has been up since 6.30am. Often I get up at 5am, but I ve just back from my book launch in Los Angeles and I m jetlagged, he explains. He s already worked out, drunk some black coffee and water and is looking forward to a cup of Earl Grey.
