Melanie is a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Postdoctoral Fellow in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University and an instructor in the Department of English at the University of Winnipeg. Her current research on Canadian petropoetics expands on her dissertation on Canadian oil-worker poetry.
