Metro Nashville Police officials say a man attempted to rob the woman at gunpoint in the parking lot. She was sent to the hospital with critical injuries. It s very scary, said Monica Alexander, who just had clocked in for work at Opry Mills, It was not even 10 minutes later and security was over the intercom saying code red everyone evacuate the mall.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â A woman was injured in a shooting during an attempted robbery in the parking lot of Opry Mills.
Metro Police officials say the woman s injuries are critical.
Officials say the woman was shot when a man tried to rob her. She parked in a spot, believed to be near the food court, but was followed by a man in a white sedan who pulled in behind her, blocking her into the spot.
The Tennessee Department of Health announced 11,352 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday.
