(Undated) A Fort Dodge Woman who stole the life-savings of an elderly man, is going to federal prison. Forty-year-old Janice Jurgensen pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud, and admitted stealing $120-thousand from a nursing home resident. Investigators say the elderly man was a veteran who had suffered disabling effects from a stroke and was also diagnosed with dementia. Investigators say Jurgensen used power attorney to gain access to the man s bank account, and spent his money on food, gas, teachers union fees, wonder nails, and a dating website. She s been sentenced to two years behind bars.

Henry Brogdon was caught in Texas on Friday and is expected to be extradicted back to Portland.
Police in Texas have captured the man accused of killing TriMet driver Breauna White earlier this month.
Henry Brogdon was arrested by the United States Marshal s Service in Tyler, Texas on Friday, May 21, and booked into the Smith County Jail, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Brogdon faces charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon for his alleged role in White s slaying.
Officers found the 30-year-old mother shot to death inside an apartment on Wednesday, May 5, following reports of gunfire near North Willamette Boulevard and North Charleston Avenue.

TEMPLE CITY (CNS) - Sheriff s investigators said today they viewed dashboard camera footage to quickly identify a 26-year-old probationer accused in a brazen armed robbery and assault of a Lyft driver at a gas station in South El Monte, then used phone records to locate and arrest him.
The attack occurred at 9:20 p.m. May 11 at the Arco station at Rush Street and Rosemead Boulevard.
The robbery and beating was captured on the driver s dashboard camera, and the footage which was released last Thursday, prompting tips from the public shows a man in the car s back seat wearing a Pittsburgh Pirates cap and holding a handgun. The man is seen arguing with the 67-year-old driver for more than one minute.

HOLLAND, Michigan After a 20-month investigation, detectives with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office have taken a man into custody for his alleged involvement in a fatal hit-and-run crash.
Police say Sebastian Abel Villarreal, who was 22 at the time, was the driver in a September 2019 hit-and-run crash that killed 41-year-old Melissa Yates. Investigators say a fight broke out between two sets of people in a Holland parking lot. During the fight, Yates was knocked to the ground and was hit with the front end of the vehicle, a 2016 Dodge Charger. Yates later died from her injuries.
